This song promotes the UBUNTU spirit of humanity- the African principle commonly translated as the phrase “I am because you are”. Aboki in Nigeria, especially in Lagos means a person from the northern part of Nigeria. ‘Lagosians’ always use this name to describe anyone who they think is slow and not smart. Surprisingly, the Abokis have produced the most leaders in Nigeria than any other tribe thus far. I used this song to educate humanity about why we must stop looking down on each other and embrace one another with the true UBUNTU spirit.
