Move it was one of the first songs written when starting my journey with jazz composition. This song encouraged me to start envisioning my compositions as loved by people beyond my locality. As such, I use the composition to encourage upcoming musicians to take their talents to the next level. To keep honing their craft until it takes them to that highest level of accomplishment.
I recorded this track featuring two other musicians who have worked hard at taking their careers to that next level.
The first is Lionel Loueke, who is a great African guitarist/composer based in the United States of America and has been playing with one the living legends of Jazz, Herbie Hancock since 2001. The second artists I collaborated with is Vuyo Tshuma, a wonderful friend and talented singer from South Africa.
This song has been performed in many venues and festivals like Standard Bank Joy of Jazz, development Stage, 2017 and Ubuntu festival, Nelspruit 2018 as well as many local and international radio stations.
